Dr. Fredrick Wamalwa

Dr. Fredrick Wamalwa, vice president ICMICA Africa

Dr. Fredrick Wamalwa is an economist with a PhD in Economics from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He has interests in research and policy engagement in education, health and labour markets. He has worked with among others, institutions like the World Bank and UNHCR. Has co-authored journal articles, policy briefs and working papers in education including areas of teacher education, early childhood and primary education, Technical and Vocational Education. Fredrick is highly influenced by Pope Francis and St Thomas Acquinas. As the Vice President for Pax Romana ICMICA Africa, Fredrick works together with the regional, sub-regional and national teams to promote the objectives of the movement in Africa.   As a vivid supporter of Pope Francis, Fredrick looks forward for the Church that promotes the Laity in the context of the commitments of Vatican II, a Church that reaches out to those at the margins of society and a Church of Mercy.
